Created 30 years ago, FDC is an independent consultancy specialised in the field of Space applications. FDC has acquired an in-depth knowledge of Copernicus and Galileo/EGNOS, the two flagship Space programmes of the European Union, through the support given to the European Commission and its Agencies since the very early stages of these programmes. FDC has therefore a strong experience of institutional aspects, decision-making processes and the industrial environment surrounding these programmes. FDC performs diverse and complementary activities such as technical studies, political and strategic analysis, functional analysis, system specification, standardisation, user requirements analysis and market surveys, information dissemination promotion and awareness, and project management. FDC’s main clients are the European Commission, the European GNSS Agency (GSA), the European Space Agency (ESA), several French Ministries as well as major private corporations (e.g. Airbus Group, Thales, Kongsberg, Indra, ASTRA). FDC has already participated in more than 180 European projects related to the European Space programmes, and has coordinated more than half of them. In most cases, activities have been performed in an international context, in co-operation with the leading industrialists in the field, European, international and national institutions.
