EOLAB, spin-off of the University od Valencia, born in mid 2006 as a business idea based on the Research in Remote Sensing in the Department of Thermodynamics at the University of Valencia.
EOLAB develops innovative products and solutions of environmental geoinformation, technology-based Earth Observation and useful in Evironment, Sustainable Development and Global Change.
Our services integrate Earth Observation technologies, in-situ data and geographic information technologies and are support tools essential for decision-making processes related to natural resource management and land use, agriculture, biogeochemical cycles (CO2), policies on water, energy efficiency, geological applications, town planning and civil works, Civil Protection (prevention, monitoring, management and evaluation of disasters such as fires, floods, landslides, frost, drought or discharge) or the verification of international treaties (eg Kyoto).
EOLAB as a high know how, the promoter team consists of qualified experts in the field of Earth Observation, most researchers at the University of Valencia and members of research groups recognized in the field of Remote Sensing as well speaks for many projects within the EU, ESA, EUMETSAT and MCyT.
The clow working relationships with these groups allows us to maintain a high degree of innovation in our products and services. We also have the infrastructure of the LPI (Imaging Processing Laboratory), University of Valencia for receiving real-time data (MODIS, AVHRR, MSG).
